Painting my simplistic toy





Here you can see that I started painting my simplistic designer toy. I decided to use bright colours like many of the existing toys I have looked at.

Perry the Platypus
I have based the colours on a cartoon character called Perry the Platypus. Even though platypus' are brown in colour and have black beaks this cartoon character is turquoise blue with an orange beak. Even though the colour scheme is very unrealistic I really liked it. If the toy isn't going to look realistic in shape then it doesn't necessarily have to look realistic in colour.

    I really like the way you have painted him, with the bright colours, it makes it look more professional as other designer toys do not use the typical animal's colours. I like your choice in colours too, the blue and the orange work really well together, and in a way I think that painting him has made him look smoother.
