To research into some animals that interested me I looked at unique qualities of certain animals like the skin of a tiger and zebra, claws, tusks, wings, fangs and antlers. These are some very interesting body parts that only belong to certain animals. As a result of this I could use some of these qualities in my own designer toy to make it more interesting.
In my previous project I created Rolf with antlers and I felt that it made him look very unique as antlers aren't meant to be on a raccoon. As a result of this I could experiment later in the project by drawing animals with body parts that don't belong to them, making a completely new animal.
